Michael Karass

Dr. Michael is an attending physician at NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn, specializing in pulmonary embolism care across the pulmonary service, ICU, and step-down unit. She serves as a co-investigator on PE-TRACT, an NIH-funded pulmonary embolism clinical trial, and contributes to NYU Langone’s clinical practice guidelines for venous thromboembolism. She has also developed educational programming for medical residents.
Dr. Michael holds a particular interest in global health, having co-founded a student program for a nonprofit focused on humanitarian work in Africa and South America.
